Peter and Matthew Lamy

Father and son, Peter and Matthew, grow Jersey Royal potatoes from Somerleigh Farms. They have a BRC-accredited pack house where they grade their potatoes, along with those of other local growers, before delivering them to us. They also grow daffodils on the picturesque island of Jersey. As well as being Assured Produce Approved, they are Natures Choice and Soil Association Approved and LEAF members. They are passionately committed to the environment, involved in both ‘Operation Bumblebee’ and Jersey Countryside Renewal Scheme. The work they have undertaken through the Scheme over the years includes planting hedgerows, restoring banks and creating cultivated habitat strips, squirrel corridors and footpaths around coastal land. Peter and Matthew are also council members of the Jersey Farmers Union, with Matthew serving as Chairman of the Environment.
