Graeme Lyburn

From his farm in Perthshire, Graeme grows potatoes, daffodils, winter wheat and barley for livestock feeding, spring barley for malting, and oil seed rape for vegetable oil. He also rears cattle. Graeme takes pride in being the only farmer in 2004 to have received a Quality Control Report with the words ‘Well done’ from our Technical Director – Paddy Graham-Jones. He’s a hard man to please! From his farmer’s point of view, maintaining and encouraging the surrounding environment is an integral part of the farming operation. At the South Gask site, he has constructed a conservation pond and maintains their natural boundaries and hedges in the hope that the areas will be more appealing to local wildlife. As well as farming, Graeme is an active member of Blairgowrie Golf Club
