Gavin and John Baillie

As well as supplying us with potatoes, Gavin and John Bailie grow winter wheat, spring barley, oil seed rape, swedes and vining peas on their farms in Perthshire.
The care of wildlife and their habitat is a vital component of the food chain and the farming practice for the Bailies. Participation in The Rural Stewardship Scheme allows them to maintain hedges, beetle banks and ponds. Out with the family farm, John is a convener of Kinross Agricultural Society and Gavin is a committee member of Tayside Farm Management Association and plays rugby for The Howe of Fife.
