Baked Potato with Sausage, Beans and Cheese

Kick start world cup fever with this easy recipe!

Cooking PotMETHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C / 425°C / Gas Mark 7.

  2. Prick potatoes with a fork and place directly onto the oven shelf and bake for 60-80 minutes. A metal skewer inserted lengthways into each potato will speed up the cooking.

  3. For extra crunchy skins, rub oil over the skin and add a dusting of crushed rock salt or cooking salt.

Sausage, beans and cheese:

  1. Use ‘sin-free’ sausages bought from a reputable butcher with low fat and low salt. Grill for about 15 minutes until cooked through.

  2. Serve with baked beans and a little sprinkling of extra mature cheddar cheese.

Cook your potatoes in the microwave first – it will speed up cooking time!
