It has been a challenging 2012 potato growing season. With some of the wettest weather we have seen in over 100 years, we are working hard to bring you the best potatoes possible in these difficult conditions.
Here's some top tips from our experts for making the most of your potatoes this season:
- Your Rooster potatoes will be even softer and fluffier this year, meaning they make excellent baked potatoes, but care will be needed when boiling.
- Try microwaving or steaming instead of boiling.
- If you are roasting, just bring the potatoes to the boil then put straight into a roasting tray - there is no need to parboil.
- Due to the wet weather, you may find your Rooster potatoes are slightly smaller but still have that wonderful taste. Why not look at our recipes for some inspiration?
